Learning While Waiting

It is time to get on with my day.  But first, I must leave a line or two about what I plan to do today.  OK, I will admit that my husband and I are fourteen years into retirement and still do not sleep in, and we still have a  list of “TO DO’s”!  I plan to take my aunt to her doctor’s appointment and then get a manicure and have my hair fixed.  All of this while I wait with excitement for the kayaks to be delivered.  The outfitter that ordered the kayaks sent me an e-mail and said that they were shipped from the factory last Friday.  That means that we will be getting them in less than 10 days.  While I am waiting for the kayaks to be delivered, I am starting to read a book entitled, “The Kayak Companion,” by Joe Glickman. In this book I am learning techniques on paddling and other important things.   I love being out in nature and enjoying God’s beauty.  I agree with my daughter when she said that kayaking is a very good way to experience nature.

    Hey Mom,
It’s hurricane season, so tell us some stories about the hurricane relief work you and Cecil have taken part in. Please?
